Hi FG : )

Actually, I'm glad for any scrutiny, either purposed or OCD such as yours which matches my own. I always assume scrutiny, but really there are only four people who have seen these pages. Usually they always look at it just before my newest update...pretty frustrating.

He has a scanner in the office, and I traded him a USB cable for an adjustment. I don't know if he ever got it connected to his computers. When I set up his web site for him, I did it because I thought he was pretty much a computer geek and would love fucking around with it once it got going, but it turns out he just knows how to use E-bay. I don't know a thing about that, so it sounded like evolved computer skills. However, that's about all he knows about computers...which is a condition I admire greatly. I don't think he has felt a great desire to get his scanner up and running. Plus he might have thought I was just trying to get rid of the responsibility of running over to pick up the hard copy.

Not a thing. I barely know anything about my OWN bike, except it makes my legs hurt. By the time I get to my bike, I'm trying to know as little as possible about anything except where the next hill is.

I'm too involved trying to figure out how to program computers so they can save me time. I'm so lazy, I'll spend three months of programming just to save 15 seconds in adding three numbers together. That probably sounds like a joke, but it's just a statement.

Currently, I'm spending three months putting together something Dan Buckley might use once, so I don't have to think whether or not it is Tuesday, while wondering whether or not the Harriman ride is going to happen. And if not, where might I like to ride otherwise. Really stupid.

But while I'm at it, I might just as well do it for everybody else in the world at the same time. That's how computers work best. Doing something just for oneself is just a total waste of time. Making sure you allow for others to use it is even more of a waste of time, but it's the only logical course of action.

Shit, now look what I wrote. I guess I'd better post it.

At least I'll save myself from having to hit the SEND button. -b
